MAPS & SYPHVC Coobowie Weekend

MAPS have kindly invited our club to join in on this weekend they have organised.

Detail of the MAPS Coobowie Weekend , Friday 6th September to Sunday 8th.,

For those arriving on Friday, BYO BBQ at the Camp Kitchen at the Caravan Park.

Saturday morning trip to Minlaton Showground to go to the Gum Flat Forge at 9:30. Entry is free. (Leave Coobowie around 9, as it is only 30 min trip). There will also be spinning, weaving, and other ‘old’ crafts to see.

Drive down the Main Street of Minlaton. Brunch at Ye Olde Café (booked) at 11:00 or bakery across the road if preferred.

Drive to Edithburgh. We are booked into the Museum at 1:30 PM and they will hold open a bit later for us if required. Entry $5 per adult. Also, next door, Bakehouse Arts and Crafts, The Old Edithburgh Fire Engine might be started up for a run down the Main Street for us (assuming it will go!) Then free to explore the street, jetty, new IGA, Location Café, Hotels, the horse and wagon, the Clan Ranald anchor etc.

Sunday morning, visit the Meant to Bead glass art showroom of Chris Penna at Edithburgh 10.30am where we can see him working with glass. (Plenty of parking). No entry fee. For those staying over,, evening meals in park, or one of the local hotels, as you wish. Don't miss out on a walk along the beach at Coobowie!
