CORRO: Power of the Past
4th August 2024
Dear Club Member,
We ask you to consider displaying your vehicle at our annual Power of the Past event, which this year will
be featuring a significant display of historic vehicles on the main oval. Historic vehicles are welcome on both
days but many clubs choose to make the Sunday a club run day.
This year will feature two categories of entry. To be judged and to be eligible for a trophy an entry form
must be completed and submitted to the Registrar. Forms are available on the internet at the Club web site,
www.ahmrc.org
Entry forms can be mailed to your Club or if you would prefer, entry forms will be mailed directly to you.
Please contact us as per the details below.
The entry fee is $20.00 which includes a rally pack, entry for two people, rally badge and eligibility for
trophy judging in the featured vehicle category. The completed entry form must be received by the 30th
of September 2024. The vehicle must be available on both days for judging. To be eligible for judging the
vehicle must have been manufactured in or before 1999
Alternatively, entries can be for display only and no pre-registration is required. This allows for the
collectable vehicle to be parked on the oval for viewing by the public. Vehicles are not required to stay for
the whole day. Entry charge will be $5 (including driver or rider) or $10 (if there is a passenger). NB Children
16 and under are admitted free.
Why not organise a club day run on the 9
th or 10th? You can have a picnic lunch next to your vehicle, or
there are excellent BBQ, tea, coffee, cake, ice cream, drinks and other food stalls available around the oval.
If your Club decides to make the event a day run it is essential that you advise me on which day you will be
attending, and the number of vehicles involved by the 10th of October 2024. This is to ensure we have
sufficient space set aside for your club.
In addition to the cars, motorcycles, tractors, engines, trucks etc. on display, there are displays of
collectable items, e.g.., household, tools, farm equipment and many others. There will be an arts and craft
and collectables display.
Due to insurance issues, there will not be a swapmeet at Power of the Past 2024
Judging at Power of the Past is based on the authenticity of a restoration.
Information boards giving details of your vehicle are appreciated by the public when viewing your
exhibit.
